Overview
Gel polish has become one of the most popular treatments in our salons as properly applied the polish will last for at least 2 weeks. There are a number of different branded polishes out there and this course will give you the skills to apply them and remove them safely. Keeping your clients coming back time and time again.
What you will learn
This is a three and a half hour intensive tutor led course covering the following:
- Relevant Anatomy and physiology (home study)
- Health and safety
- Contraindications to treatment
- Consultation procedures
- Product knowledge
- Nail preparation and shaping
- Full colour and French polish
- Removal
- Aftercare

On the day
We like to look after all our students whilst they’re training with us, that’s why we offer free parking, due to Covid restrictions we cant offer you our usual lovely sweet treats and posh coffee but we will make sure you are well hydrated with unlimited cool bottled water, available all day. There’s a lovely deli near to the academy for lunches, or if your prefer you can bring your own food.
Support
There is nothing worse than leaving a course and feeling left on your own. We like to ensure our students have all the support and back up they need which includes full telephone and e mail support. You may also drop in at one of our workshop afternoon/evenings or even re-sit another course of the same if necessary within 6 months free of charge.

Once you have completed your course you will receive a fully IPHM accredited certificate allowing you to get your public liability insurance.
Previous Experience
There is no previous experience needed to attend this course. However you will need to study the anatomy and physiology manual (unit 1) and sit a short multiple choice test if you do not have any previous A&P qualifications.
