This one day basic facial course teaches the basic facial technique combining relaxation and skin care by working on the face and neck using various techniques and products.

This course can also be taken as the entry level to the Microdermabrasion course

Overview
Facials are regarded as a key treatment in the beauty industry, combining relaxation and skin care by working on the face and, neck using various techniques and products.
This is a one day tutor led course covering the following:
What you will learn
- Hygiene health and safety
- Learn how to ensure top standards of health and hygiene for your surroundings, self and your clients - Relevant anatomy and physiology
- Learn about the structure of the facial bones and muscles and the lymphatic systems - Products and equipment required
- Learn about the equipment needed to perform the facials - Consultation procedures
- How to talk over the information you need with your clients and ascertain what your client's needs are and how to work out the best products to use on your client - Contra-indications to treatment
- Learn about relevance of contraindications to treatment and about skin diseases and disorders - Skin diagnosis, treating problematic skin
- How to know what your client's skin type and condition is which affects your choice of face mask at the end of the facial treatment - Cleansing, toning and moisturising
- How to perform these for optimum results and effect - Exfoliation
- Learn the art of desquamation and the benefits - Face masks: setting and non-setting
- How to apply and choose either of these face masks - Aftercare
- Learn how to give your client correct aftercare advice to maintain the results of the facial

On the day
We like to look after all our students whilst they’re training with us, that’s why we offer free parking, always have a stocked biscuit tin, sweets, posh coffee, tea and chilled water available all day, at every course. There’s also a lovely deli near to the academy for lunches, or if your prefer you can bring your own food.
Support
There is nothing worse than leaving a course and feeling left on your own. We like to ensure our students have all the support and back up they need which includes full telephone and e mail support. You may even re-sit another course of the same if necessary within 6 months free of charge.

Once you have completed your course you will receive a fully IPHM accredited certificate allowing you to get your public liability insurance.
