An essential skill for any therapist – waxing is the most popular treatment in most salons. Every 4-6 weeks clients return for another treatment therefore you have a continual source of income. 

Hair removal, using wax, is one of the most popular and profitable salon treatments. Wax depilation provides a quick and efficient way of clearing small and large areas of unwanted hair.  Waxing is particularly popular during the summer months.

Covers the following areas of face and body waxing:

• Eyebrows

• Top lip

• Chin

• Underarms

• Lower and upper leg basic bikini  

Also, health and safety, anatomy and physiology, client care and care of equipment.

You must be prepared to give and receive waxing, hair growth must be at least 2 weeks from previous waxing or shaving.

This is a one day tutor led course covering the following

•    Health, safety & hygiene
•    Consultation techniques
•    Contra-indications
•    Aftercare
•    Different types of waxing products
•    Use of warm wax
•    Procedure for waxing legs, underarms, eyebrows, face & bikini areas

This waxing course teaches techniques to successfully create smooth skin. The techniques last up to six weeks where the hair removed grows back finer and remains smooth.

There is nothing worse than leaving a course and feeling left on your own. We like to ensure our students have all the support and back up they need which includes full telephone and e mail support. You may even re-sit another course of the same if necessary within 6 months free of charge.

You also get

Once you have completed your course you will receive a fully IPHM accredited certificate allowing you to get your public liability insurance.

There is no previous experience needed to attend this course. However you will need to study some anatomy and physiology and sit a short multiple choice test if you do not have any previous A&P qualifications.
