There are so many services you can offer to your customers but it's important to choose a few rather than everything so you can really focus on those specific areas and become a master in your field. Decide on your target market

Before you start to brand your business, you need to know who you are talking to and what kind of customers you would like to attract. By having a rough idea of a target market, it will make it much easier to target customers via marketing.

Brand your business

In order to create your business, you need to brand it with a name, logo and a style that really reflects your brand. Canva is a great tool to create a logo and any digital marketing material you need. When deciding on your business name, try to make it simple, easy to spell and memorable.

Marketing material

You will need to create a pricelist so people can see what services you offer and at what cost. Have a look at prices in your local area to determine what the going rate is, you may want to do an introductory offer whilst you are still practising and building your client base. Order business cards, price lists and loyalty cards all with your branding on to give out to customers and potential customers.

Insurance

As well as having the relevant qualifications, you also need to make sure you are fully insured to be able to offer services to customers. Use these pages to shout about what you do, post often about all the services you offer and show people your work. You may also want to do a competition to get your page going, offering a free service in return for interaction and a "like"on your page.

You may also wish to look at more traditional marketing such as leaflet drops and local magazine ads.

Practise Practise Practise

Finally, practise! Ask your friends and family if you can practise your services on them, for a small fee to cover your material costs. Make sure you take pictures so you can upload to your social media pages. Practise really does make perfect, so keep going!
